When it comes to ethnic fashion, Raveena Tandon has given us more hits than misses. Though Tandon has wowed us with her fashion statements in the past, the nuances of this outfit do no justice to her reputation. We think she sailed smoothly past a faux pas this time, but her ensemble left much to be desired.
Going green for a Green Peace event, the actor wore a Malang Rouh outfit by Punit Balana, with knife pleats at the bust and excessive ruffle detail at the hem. Though the outfit was interesting, we think the heavily printed outfit didn’t quite work for the occasion.
Tandon teamed up her suit tunic with a pair of matching striped leggings and, though we appreciate how celebrity stylist Surina Kakkar tried to balance all the elements by keeping the accessories to just statement earrings, kadas and an opulent ring from Curio Cottage Jewellery, smaller earrings might have worked better here. The actor finished her look with minimal make-up, nude lips and black high heels. Though we think the look was a little too plain going by Tandon’s sartorial choices, the side braids the actor sported was just right and hairstylist Vidya Jagtap deserves credit for it.
