She was touted as ‘The Venus of Indian Cinema’ and there is no denying that MadhubaInla, in her life spanning 36 years, was no less than a living legend. This Bollywood’s iconic beauty and talent garnered popularity for her performances in films like Mahal (1949), Amar (1954), Mr & Mrs ’55 (1955), Chalti Ka Naam Gaadi (1958), Mughal-e-Azam (1960) and Barsaat Ki Raat (1960), among others. Her last film was Jwala, which was shot in the 1950s but was released in 1971.
