Train service was suspended again on Friday for security reasons in the Kashmir valley in view of separatists shutdown call against the killing of Manan Wani and his associate in an encounter in Shatgund area of Handwara in north Kashmir’s Kupwara district. This is the third time train service was suspended in the valley for security reasons this week. ‘We have again suspended all train runs in the Kashmir valley on Friday,’ a senior railway official said. Therefore, he said, no train will chug on Budgam-Srinagar-Anantnag-Qazigund in south Kashmir to Banihal in Jammu region. Similarly, trains will also not run on Srinagar-Badgam and Baramulla in north Kashmir, he said.
