Rahul Dravid’s U-19 team was knocked out of ongoing Asia Cup after suffering a defeat against Bangladesh – which was their second consecutive loss in the tournament.
The Bangla Tigers thumped Men in Blue by eights wickets, which also knocked them out of the tournament.
In a match which was reduced to 32 overs, the Indian U-19 cricket team managed to post 187 runs for for 8 wickets.
In reply, Bangladesh U-19 produced an emphatic show as Pinak Ghosh smashed a 77-ball 81 which proved to be the decisive knock.
With just one win and two defeats in three matches, India U-19 finished third in Group A – above hosts Malaysia – and failed to qualify for the semi-final.
